During his travels throughout Japan, Francois Nars became fascinated with Kabuki theatre, and the artistry of it all inspired him to create the Modern Kabuki collection of beauty bento boxes, which make nice gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
The surprise inside the NARS Bento Box Set are two ceramic cups with colours lining the perimeter, for you to dip the accompanying brush and pick a hue to paint your lips. Use a little of the highly-pigmented lip colour for a subtle look and then build up intense colour for a dramatic pout.

One cup has been hand-filled with a red lip colour called Maiko _ the Japanese word for "dancing girl" and apprentice geishas _ while the other cup has a hot pink colour called Sakura, the symbolic cherry blossom that is integral to Japanese culture.
The Hanamichi eyeshadow palette is inspired by the "flower path", the theatre walkway that extends into the audience. With evocative shades found in Japanese theatre, this palette presents floral motifs in rich shimmering deep rose, gold, and matte black.
Named after an element of Kabuki dance, the Kudoki keepsake bento box features three lip colours in the custom ceramic cups, as well as a handmade lip brush with its handle wrapped in wisteria, a flowering plant native to Japan.
