Miss Korea 3rd runner up, Ms. Jee-Eun Yoo, will compete in the upcoming Miss Earth 2007 in Vietnam with the finals taking place in Manila, Philippines. Ms. Jee-Eun Yoo is already a favorite to win, according to Miss Earth special coverage sites. Ms. Yoo is also a colleague of Miss Korea Texas.
Beauties from almost 90 countries will compete for Miss Earth 2007. Every queen to win Miss Earth will promote environmental causes and Earth’s preservation. In addition to its environmental objectives, the winner of the pageant is involved with international environmental projects.
Contestants must endure physical, mental, and spiritual strength before their judging, interviews, and final event. The international pageant will expand cultural and social horizons of all competing delegates. It is a trying time for contestants as they stay focused and prepared for competition while simultaneously overcoming cultural and social barriers.
Each year Korea suffers more and more from a phenomenon called the “Yellow Sand Storm”. It is caused by dust particles from neighboring countries which are going through fierce industrial growth. These storms cause respiratory illnesses and moreover, these storms are the cause of heavy pollution(of dust and metal particles) that directly affect Korea’s beautiful sky. As far as I know, the United Nations started to regulate the air pollution in these regions. Frankly, I believe I would be an excellent candidate as Public Relations for these projects or organization.
