Another Beautiful Place of Japan

Another beautiful place is Kotohira.
There's a Shinto shrine on top of the hill (1368 steps up!) and gives a gorgeous view of the surrounding area.

The first time we went up we thought it wasn't that hard, when we came back we heard that we only had walked half-way up, haha

So that same evening we went back, this time we climbed the complete number of 1368 steps.
It was beautiful ! The shrine itself wasn't that beautiful, but the whole atmosphere was breathtaking. It was pitchdark, with only some parts lit by stone lanterns and the best part was that we were the only ones there. 2 days before were partying in Tokyo and now we could only hear the sound of the wind blowing through the trees while crickets and other unidentifiable animals provided a very peaceful symphony of peace.
